Evil Redneck

Woo. I'm an evil redneck, that's what I am.

Day yesterday. I was outside most of the day, as I said before. I got out of weight room. <3 Good point for me. But my uncle said if I made the football team, he'd give me a $100 bill.

That's messed up. I shouldn't have to be treated like a dog, running after a piece of meat just to do something other people want me to do. And I just realized this. That's how I should have felt. Like a dog that had to be lured to something.

I shouldn't be rewarded if I make the football team. I feel as if the only thing I should get is a "Good job" and their pride. That's it. The only reason I'm doing this is to make my father proud of me, basically. Because at family things, whenever someone asks when I'm going to join the football team, he says something along the lines of "Oh, he's too much of a momma's boy to do that. He doesn't like pain."

And you do?

Point being. I'm doing this for everyone else. If it was up to me, I would be with Rachel in a home of our own, away from everyone else. But sadly, that can't happen. So right now, I'm living for other people. Living because I want to see Rachel, because I want to make her happy. Living because I want to make my family proud of me, and not just see me as some computer junkie. Living for my friends, so we can be able to go on to our graduations together, and so I can be one of my friend's child's Godfather, apparently.

Basically, a life lived for others. I have no complaints most of the time. But this is when I do. When someone feels as if they have to lure me to do something.

If someone rewards me for my grades, that's a different matter. Because I know that good grades help me, and I need them. But football isn't essential to get into college, to get a good job, to do all of the things I want to. Good grades, a few extracurricular things, and maybe a foreign language, and I should be set. I already got into this Who's Who thing, and I'm eligible to win scholarships. So... Yeah. =\

Anyways... After the pool, I hopped onto the computer for a while. Then we went to a place called Gilbert's Lodge. Pretty damned nice. o.o But the foot there is expensive. Two pizzas, a few appetizers, and some kid's meals cost us $71. oO;;

Then we went to my Aunt Kindra's house. Sat around the table for a few hours. When night began to fall, the real fun began.

Someone plugged in the bug zapper.

Ho-o-oly hell. I'm such an evil redneck, it's not even funny. We heard zaps that were like 10 seconds long, and we all just sat there in silence. When it was over, we laughed our asses off and just kept on saying "Did you hear that? That was awesome!" And this went on for an hour.

I'm pretty sure the bugs had conversations like we humans do at bars...
Fly 1 has a drunken slur, and Fly 2 has a Mexican accent.

F1: "Dude, look at that light! She sure is hot..."
F2: "You might not wanna try for it... I've heard bad things about her, man!
F1: "Come on, it can't be that bad!"
F2: "Okay, man. Whatever you want to do, go do it."
Me: "There they go..."
Kindra: "Those are the stupid ones."
F1: "Hello, sexy light." *touches*
ZAP.
Humans: .... "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA! THAT WAS A GOOD ONE!"

Yeah. :3
